According to Earl Aselmeyer, this cemetery at one time, contained more stones, but part of it has been farmed over.
According to the Will of Russell Romine, the following is quoted from his Will, "I desire that a substantial stone wall be build around the Grave Yard where my parents are buried, to be not less that four feet hish, the stone to be laid in mortar and I appropriate whatever sum of money be necessary for that purpose out of my personal sale."
In this cemetery are four graves marked with large native stone surrounding them. One is large enough for two graves, the other two are for single graves. James Romine was the father of Russell Romine, but the name of Russell Romine’s mother has not been found in Saline County records at this time.
This cemetery has also been known as the Diggs Cemetery, as this land was later owned by the Diggs family.
