SALINE COUNTY, MISSOURI
Downtown - Marshall, MO
This photo from Ellen Woodson's picture album, shows, what
Judith Woodson Martin THINKS is downtown Marshall, MO. There
are several stores in the background, most notably Adams and Cooper.
Cooper is a family name from that time...and her great grandfather was
Francis Minor Cooper. Adams is also a family name from that time.
Judith's great grandmother, Ellen Woodson, was living with her aunt in
Marshall, MO, who was Nannie Adams's sister. Nannie Adams was Ellen
Woodson's mother. Nannie Adams passed away in 1900 in Frankfort,
so Judith suspects this picture was taken sometime between 1900 and 1904.
If anyone knows of Adams and Cooper, Judith would like to hear from you
and can be reached by e-mail.
